Production Update 171: After Anime Detour

Another week. Another Screening. This past week I was in Minneapolis for Anime Detour, and screening Cosmic Rage again as well. I had a great time at Anime Detour and met some awesome people. The screening was part of the first track of panels and I had a nice turn out. After the screening, I answered a lot of questions from people in attendance, ranging from how the project evolved, to episode two, animation production and more. The Q/A session lasted almost a half an hour. When I got home from Minneapolis, I had to catch up on some much needed rest.

This week will be pretty quiet on the production front. It is the week before finals week for school so I need to wrap up some projects and get thing stop the printer before finals week. On that note, I will have  amore in depth briefing next week about things moving forward in regards to the e-book, episode two and more convention news.

I appreciate the support everyone! You can also share and support the project on Patreon.

Introducing Wyatt Baker

Where are you from?
A small town in central Pennsylvania, aiming for Hollywood~

Why do you want to be a voice actor?
I love giving life to the unreal, and  voice acting is my favorite way to do so.

Who is your favorite VO actor?
Patrick Seitz <3 (Patrick if you’re reading this I’m your biggest fan xoxoxoxo)

Who is your favorite anime/game/cartoon character?
Hard to choose just one, so…

Anime: Yasuri Shichika from Katanagatari
Game: David Young from D4
Cartoon: Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty

If you could voice any character, who would it be and why?
Also Yasuri Shichika. His lovable cluelessness and determination make him an awesome character. However, by that point, you’ll have been torn to pieces.

What drew you to audition for Cosmic Rage?
Contract killers, prize fighters and apocalyptic mayhem? I couldn’t not audition for it!

Where can fans follow you at or find more of your work?

Production Update 169: That’s a Wrap and a New Home

What an incredible week. Episode one of Cosmic Rage has been completed! The final audio edits have been completed and artwork has been revised. I will give it another viewing this week to make sure there isn’t anything that I missed today, but it is looking good. So what’s next?

Well as you can see, we moved to a new web domain with a few new features for you to check out. A donation button has been added so you can support the project as well as a few new social media outlets. On instagram I will be releasing clips from the first episode, in order, starting pretty soon so if you can’t make a convention for a screening you can still view the episode. After the episode has been released in pieces, I will get a full version uploaded. No time table has been set in that regard.

The other social media addition you may have noticed, is the addition of Patreon. You can now donate to the project on a consistent basis and get behind-the-scenes content and access for the second episode.

In 7 days I will be holding the first screening of Cosmic Rage at Siouxper Con in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and the following week in Minneapolis at Anime Detour. I will be working on getting a few thing sup to speed on the site, but thank you for your continued support. I am so excited to see what the future holds.

Welcome to the new Cosmic Rage home!

Production Update 168: Finish Line is in Sight!

Sorry for the late production update this week, but I was really trying to avoid the internet on Monday in case I stumbled across Walking Dead spoilers. You see, the Walking Dead is a show I very much love to watch week to week. Binge watching is ok, but I prefer to consume my media an episode at a time so I can really think about things that went on or why creators chose a certain direction. Basically I want to savor it from week to week, and since this season has been terrible with news sites having spoilers on Monday mornings, I went into full offline mode.

In other news, animation revisions are almost all wrapped up. I have a few changes to make to Fenix’s character this weekend but the rest of the animation is done. I had a productive week finishing up the last of the scenes I needed to finish up.

On the audio front, the audio team is finishing up the last three scenes and then everything will be good to go. We need to finalize a few sound effects and then I need to do the final mix, with the voice over.

So what is on deck for this coming week? This week I will be working on some promotional materials for Siouxper Con and following conventions, tweaking the scenes with Fenix and working on the final audio mix. I also am going to be making the credits later this week as well. 12 days away until the premiere!

Introducing Carson McCamy

Where are you from?
Chatsworth, GA

Why do you want to be a voice actor?
I grew up wanting to be an entertainer. As a kid, around four I would design costumes for my grandma to make, and I would run around and mimic the voices for any costume I was in, and then I would always mimic characters from movies and shows that I’d watch. So it was always a lifestyle for me, rather than a career choice.

Who is your favorite VO actor?
Either Dee Bradley Baker or James Arnold Taylor.

Who is your favorite anime/game/cartoon character?
Anime: Hellsing’s Alucard, Game: Deadpool. Cartoon: Alucard

If you could voice any character, who would it be and why? Deadpool; because he’s my favorite character in anything ever. And thats because we’re so alike in personality, it’s uncanny.

What drew you to audition for Cosmic Rage? I’d never seen a concept or art style like this before, so naturally I was drawn to it.

Where can fans follow you at or find more of your work? My work can be found on YouTube. LlamaStudios is the creator of my most well-known work as Batman, and my voice over demos can be found on castingcall.club as well as my YouTube channel by searching Carson McCamy. I can also be found on Twitter by that name as well.
